Laurens County Sheriff Explorer Post 2008

One of the first things Sheriff Chastain did when he was sworn in was to also partner with the Boy Scouts of America to create the first Law Enforcement Explorer Post in Laurens County that is still actively going strong today.  The Sheriff saw a need for the youth of Laurens County to be better connected with Law Enforcement in a positive way. Laurens County Sheriff's Office Explorer Post 2008 is still today  educating the youth of Laurens County in the skills that it takes to not only be a good citizen but also a future Law Enforcement Officer. Some of Sheriff Chastain's Explorers have gone on and became deputies on his staff.
